This beautiful traditional kitchen is created by designer Joan Nemirow. She was inspired by soaring glass ceilings at the British Museum in London and the Passage Verdeau in Paris. She used furniture that reminds you of 18th- and 19th-century English furniture styles. The wall cabinets are white, the kitchen island is in color of natural wood. To highlight the high ceilings there is a steel net above with the lamps that remind of the same centuries as the furniture. Beautiful kitchen appliances of copper are a cool detail that continues the style. To show that it’s also a modern kitchen, the designer placed also colorful dishes, armchairs and ultramodern appliances. The kitchen is very stylish and leaves a lasting impression of coziness.

Pink kitchen design ideas with retro and chic modern style
Pink kitchen design ideas can help alleviate the burden from everyday chores and drudgery. Pink color creates a mood of relaxation to women while working in pink kitchen. Pink Kitchen, as the name suggests, is a kitchen that is painted with pink color. Not only this, but all appliances and accessories that are present in the kitchen can be of pink color, to match it with the walls.
This kitchen is designed by Julie Michiels and Iker Gil, architects at Mas Studio. Almost everything there is painted in the uniform cotton candy shade of pink. Even some appliances, including a Bialetti espresso maker, stove, ’60s-era General Electric fridge, are painted in this color. Some accessories like oven mitts and salad tongs are also pink. The overall look of the kitchen is quite retro and chic.

Modern Kitchen pendant lighting
Kitchen pendant lighting is a decorative way in which to spruce up the kitchen. Pendant lights in general feature fixtures that have a great sense of décor and that hang from the ceiling. Kitchen pendant lighting is available in a variety of sizes and designs. Kitchen pendant lighting can actually contribute to your task lighting. Because under-cabinet lighting is impossible on kitchen islands and both recessed and track lighting cast harsh shadows that can make food preparation dangerous, pendant lighting is often your best source for kitchen task lighting over kitchen islands.
Kitchen island pendant lights can instantly give your whole kitchen a face-lift, and even improve your dining experience. This is because these pendant lights are made to amaze. The designs are lavish and charming, or simple and eclectic, just like the people who choose them. There are different styles of pendant lights that can enhance your kitchen island. Here are just a number of your available choices:
- Modern-Contemporary – A style marked by straight lines and solid angles, and the use of bold colors
- Mediterranean – Typically includes materials made of iron and natural stones; the colors used are often earth-toned and light.
- Crystal – This style is made of glass patterns; those with luxurious standards can even find pendant lights made with Swarovski crystals
- Tiffany – A style marked by the use of stained glass motifs; often employing geometric shapes.
