4 Sources for Discount Kitchen Cabinets (January 24, 2008)

1. Seasonal Sales. Independence Day. Labor Day. Memorial Day. These holidays generally prompt a discount on cabinets. Waiting until these times should get you a lower price and no-interest financing is not uncommon during discount celebrations.

2. Dated Models. Home improvement warehouses have a unique challenge¨Cthey only have room for a certain amount of inventory! Their loss is your gain because they must constantly get rid of cabinet materials to make room for newer styles. Some discounts are advertised¨Cothers are not. Check in frequently and make friends with the receptionist.

3. Factory Blemishes. A nick here or imperfection there could add up to big savings for you. Many discount kitchen cabinet prices are reduced due to small blemishes that keep them from being sold as new. But some light cosmetic work can take care of that once they¡¯re in your kitchen.

4. Estate Sales. Occasionally, an estate sale can be a hidden jewel. The owners have passed away and everything must go¨Cincluding the maple kitchen cabinets. This may be a great way to get high-quality pieces for next to nothing. Bring your check-book because cash is king.

Just because a cabinet manufacturer screams ¡°SALE!¡± doesn¡¯t mean much these days. Put yourself in a position to find truly discounted kitchen cabinets by checking out one of these sources.
